HYPOSTASIS
Hypostasis is an experimental short film that follows the mind of a bipolar patient as he attempts to control his condition. Both the cinematography and the sound design was created through expressionistic methods with the intent of inspiring a profound empathy from the audience.
Throughout production and post-production, I fulfilled the roles of Sound Designer, Audio Post-Production Supervisor and Production Sound Mixer. I also provided consultation around positive mental health discourse to the film’s writer, executive producers, the director and lead actor Richard Clune. The film premiered at the Regent Theatre in October 2017 as well as a private screening at the Canadian Mental Health Association Gala in the Fall of 2017. Festival screenings pending.
